Client Settlement Authority Check

Live. Check each proposed settlement against the client's settlement authority before it is offered: within authority, needs client approval, outside authority or refuse, with the counter-offer that fits.

Send the client's authority matrix (lowest settlement percent the agency may accept, lowest the client may approve case by case, longest payment plan, minimum down payment, plan discount limits, by client, portfolio, balance band and account age) and the proposed offers. The most specific matching rule wins. Each offer comes back within authority, needs client approval, outside authority or refuse, with the matched rule, the required percent, a counter-offer at the floor and the amount that would be forgiven. Compliance flags: an offer above the balance or fees the agreement does not allow are refused (15 U.S.C. 1692f(1)); disputed accounts that are not yet verified and accounts in bankruptcy are refused (1692g(b), 11 U.S.C. 362); an offer presented as expiring when the agency would renew it is false urgency (1692e(10), Regulation F 12 CFR 1006.18); time-barred debts get no-suit and revival-disclosure warnings (12 CFR 1006.26(b)); forgiven amounts of 600 dollars or more point to Form 1099-C Check; and agreed terms should go in writing with Settlement Offer Letter. Up to 500 offers per call, billed per offer. Nothing is stored. Not legal advice.

Price: $0.001 per call after 1,000 free per month.
